Small but perfectly formed the 1968 Thomson MIni Glen was more than happy looking pretty at the festive Christmas markets in Frome this year. Serving teas & coffee, pulled pork in brioche buns, festive treats & of course the famous hot-buttered rum! Where else could she look pretty? All ideas welcome. Lucy x
The van is a 1968 Thomson Mini Glen, produced in Scotland, it was the first towing van to have the luxury of a kitchen, bathroom, dining space & bed, all crammed into a 6ft x 5ft space! It's so loght it was designed to be towed by the original Mini & they even designed it so the wheels interchange...I do love a piece of history!
Bean to cup -
Whole roasted espresso beans, an Eco roasted extra smooth blend from Dorset (they collect the left over grounds and burn to roast the whole beans...very clever!), Fair Trade Zuma hot chocolate & Clipper Organic Teas (another Dorset brand). Hooray for the West Country!
From the rather pretty orange, pomegranate & pistachio cake to a good old fashioned mince pie all cakes are home made (even the all butter pastry),
We do not have large catering facilities on the Mini Glen but we have been able to serve great pulled pork...starting with a brioche bun we added slow-cooked bbq spiced pork shoulder from HE Williams of course), piled high, with crunchy slaw & apple sauce... It all went down rather well!
Can cater for vegetarians vegans too.
The mini Glen would make a stunning canape and fizz bar.
Space for two fridges and an electric hook up its well equipped for a well stocked and fun night ..or day!
We will be serving cocktails from the mini glen in the garden of Mill Cottage at the Summer Supper Club.
